Parallel
FeaturedWeb search infrastructure for the AI agent era.
Founded in 2024 by Parag Agrawal, the former CEO of Twitter, Parallel was built on the belief that AI agents need reliable, fast, and structured access to the live web to be truly useful. As AI agents increasingly need to browse, research, and act on real-time information, Parallel provides the search infrastructure layer that sits inside those products. This week in May 2026, Parallel raised $100 million in a round led by Sequoia at a $2 billion valuation, bringing total funding to $230 million. The company has quickly become a critical piece of plumbing for the AI agent ecosystem, serving AI labs, enterprise platforms, and developer tools that require live web knowledge.
