Dr Sharon L. Shappley is an experienced educator, curriculum developer, and entrepreneur from the United States with more than 30 years of experience in language education, curriculum design, and academic program development. She is the president and CEO of Sharon’s Classes LLC, an international education company offering English and Spanish classes to students and professionals across the globe. Her work focuses on immersive learning systems, professional certification courses, and customised curriculum development designed to help motivated learners achieve high academic and professional success. She is also recognised for designing flexible, interactive learning programs that are used either with or without a tutor to enable students in multiple countries to effectively enhance their language skills. Her teaching philosophy is based on discipline, motivation, and targeted learning rather than mass enrollment, which has helped her maintain a strong reputation in the education field.

Dr Sharon L. Shappley obtained her PhD in Education from North Central University, La Joya, California, in 2021. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from Ashford University, Clinton, Iowa, in 2013, and her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the same university in 2011. In addition to her academic degrees, she completed professional certifications, including a 120-hour TESOL certification, a 250-hour TESOL certification, and DYNED certification in 2019. These accreditations established her proficiency in teaching English as a second language and providing language learning solutions to worldwide students.

Dr Shappley began her professional journey in education in 2000 when she founded Noah’s Ark in Tennessee, where she initially ran a preschool program and developed training materials for private companies. Over time, she expanded her work to include ESL, Spanish, and IT training programs for schools, homeschool associations, law enforcement departments, and private organisations. In 2013, she established Sharon's English Classes, which would later evolve into Sharon's Classes LLC in 2025. Under her leadership, the company developed a complete 10-level ESL curriculum and launched immersive English learning programs for students across China, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, and the United States. Her organisation also created Sharon’s Learning Centre, which provides professional courses, certifications, seminars, and workshops for licensed professionals who need specialised training within a short time. Today, her programs are delivered worldwide through online and remote learning platforms. She has also worked as a presenter at conferences, a curriculum consultant, and an instructor for large international groups. She has collaborated with teachers and institutions to improve language education systems.

Dr Shappley’s early life played an important role in shaping her career.
